Smooth skin starts here.

What is Body Sugaring

Sugar paste, used for hair removal, was originally developed by the Egyptians many centuries ago. The paste is created in an environment free from impurities blending together a recipe of all-natural ingredients; lemon, sugar and water. During a sugaring treatment, the paste is applied at body temperature & the hair is removed from the root in the direction of hair growth and the skin is gently exfoliated, leaving the skin with a clean healthy glow.

Before your appointment

  • Hair should be 1/4" or the length of a grain of rice. When applying sugar to longer hair it can pull on the hair making it an uncomfortable process.

- if you are unsure please reach out.

  • We do not offer trimming or tweezing.

  • Exfoliate the areas being sugared gently 1-2 days before your appointment.

  • Your skin should be clean and dry. Please avoid using any powders, sprays, or lotions prior to your sugaring treatment. Not properly prepped skin can affect the sugars ability to wrap itself around the hair making it unable to be removed, creating a longer & possibly incomplete service.

  • Please do not wear any deodorant, oil, lotions, or any other skincare products on the areas you intend to have sugared.

  • Please do not sunbathe or use a tanning bed for 48 hours prior to or after any sugaring treatment.

  • Sunburnt skin cannot be sugared.

  • Please refrain from wearing tight clothing around the areas that have been/are going to be sugared.

  • If you are running late please let me know as soon as possible.

After Care Instructions

What should I do after my treatment?

To prevent ingrown hairs, it is recommend to exfoliate & moisturize. Exfoliate 2 days after your sugaring appointment & continue to exfoliate every 2-3 days to prevent the hair from getting trapped under the skin. Dry brushes are great for exfoliating

& don't forget to moisturize your skin to help keep the hair follicles hydrated.

Please plan to avoid activities that may lead to excessive perspiration. We recommend avoiding those activities for at least eight hours. Remember, your follicles and pores are open, and for this reason, we want to prevent bacteria in the form of sweat.  It is recommended you not have sex for at least 24 hours to avoid chafing, skin irritation and introducing bacteria to your open pores.  Avoid hot tubs and swimming pools for two days following treatment. Your skin is still sensitive. There is an increased risk of developing a bacterial infection with open pores.

It varies from person to person and here's why:

There are 3 separate growth cycles for your hair.

On your 1st sugaring visit, we get the first, second, and part of the third growth cycles of your hair. Once returning to get sugared two or three times, we start getting all three hair cycled out at the same time. As you continue to get sugared regularly, you will be able to go longer periods of time between your sugaring.

If you are planning to use sugaring to soften and reduce hair growth, regular sugaring treatments result in slower growth of hair and is thorough.  Many find that sugaring is less painful and in most cases lead to permanency.

Using razors or depilatory cream between appointments will interfere with the goal of diminishing your hair growth. Please exfoliate and hydrate your skin regularly between sugaring visits. Proper aftercare is important for optimal results.
